Wyoming Downs in Evanston is the only racing track in the State of Wyoming. Recently purchased by Wyoming Entertainment LLC, based in California, Wyoming Downs is a popular thoroughbred and quarter horse racing establishment during the summer months. Boasting excellent facilities and top-class racing events, and located just 80 miles from Salt Lake City, there is little wonder as to why Wyoming Downs Racetrack attracts visitors from neighboring States.
Wyoming Downs’ season runs through summer, from July to August, with live horse racing and pari-mutuel betting on Saturdays and Sundays. With its casual environment, Wyoming Downs is a great spot for some weekend relaxation. The tension builds as the stunning steeds make their way to the starting gate. All sit on tenter hooks awaiting the outcome. What a thrill when your horse gallops across the finish line. Simulcast racing at Wyoming Downs is also a favorite of many racegoers, as it provides year-round opportunities to enjoy the excitement of horse racing, broadcast live from around the United States.
Wyoming Downs race track has fantastic facilities. Visitors can watch the races from the bleacher seating, outdoor patio or on their own lawn chairs. A number of food concession stands are located throughout the grandstand area and waitress services are offered in Clockers Corner. Bars at the grandstand will require all those wanting to purchase alcoholic beverages to obtain a wristband at the entrance along with their proof of ID. Other amenities at Wyoming Downs include parking, brochures and a gift shop.
