Michael Richards

Professor Dr. Michael Richards is a recently retired UK academic with a lifetime interest in horseracing. He is better known to his friends and family as Mike, and also as someone who longed to be a jockey, but height and weight got in the way, hence the academic career. Actually, he thinks that he might not have had a distinguished career as a jockey because he tried to ride very short, in the style of Lester Piggott, but without Lester's skill! Oh, and the additional 'burden' that he couldn't 'do' less than 10 stone now!
