Lucky Quality is a Horse to Watch
The magnificent sprinter, and now leading sire, Elusive Quality, is once again making a name for himself in the horse racing industry, as his progeny show superior racing talent on the racecourse. Recently, Raven’s Pass gripped the worlds’ attention by winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic, and other progeny such as Smarty Jones and Elusive Diva have shown their worth. Now it seems that Lucky Quality is also becoming a rising star, reinforcing Elusive Quality’s success as a sire. When looking at Lucky Quality and his racing career, he seems to be the horse to watch, as he begins to conquer the horse racing industry one race at a time.
At the age of four years it is felt that Lucky Quality has achieved all he can in Hong Kong, and will be looking towards international challenges in the future. Lucky Quality has proven that he is a mighty force on both turf and dirt; although he seems to favor dirt tracks, he performs to perfection on both. On Saturday, 7 February 2009, Lucky Quality stunned the crowds with a faultless race in the Class One Jebsen Industrial Handicap.
At the Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong, Lucky Quality carried his jockey to an overwhelming victory, as he lead the race for most of the 1 200 meter event. Jockey Olivier Dolwuze, who has been on board for four of Lucky Quality’s five wins this season, commented that he was a little worried in the starting gates as his horse seemed far too relaxed, but Lucky Quality soon settled into a comfortable pace, and won the event by over a length, followed home in second position by Solar Mighty. Owned by Peter Wu Hin-ting and trained by Me Tsui Yu-sak, both men hope that they will be able to see Lucky Quality perform in Dubai, at the Nad al Sheba Racecourse on World Cup night.
Lucky Quality is most definitely a horse that performs at international level and seems ready to take on more experienced competitors. If he continues to display the performances he is currently delivering, he will be a horse racing force to be reckoned with.
