Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival 2008
The Gold Coast Turf Club, in Queensland, Australia, will be hosting the highly anticipated horse racing event of the year – the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival 2008. This magnificent racing facility, located neatr Surfers Paradise Beach, has been home to horse racing for more than fifty years. Through its years of experience with accommodating spectators, horse owners, breeders, jockeys and horses, the club has spectacular facilities such as cafés, restaurants and bars, to make everyone feel welcome. Sensational views, exciting activities and premier events, such as the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival 2008, sees fans and the racing industry elite returning to the Gold Coast Turf Club each year.
As with most exclusive racing events, the men are dressed in their best suits, the women have recruited the best designers in Australia to carefully create their look for race day, and the flashes of photographers and reporters are almost blinding. This year, the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival will run from the 17th of March 2008 to the 3rd of April 2008. It is a racing gathering like no other, as it is known not only for the racing action but for the yearling sale and activities that take place throughout the entire carnival.
The international yearling sale starts at approximately six in the afternoon on Sunday 23 March 2008, and lasts for nine days. There will be more than 1 600 thoroughbred horses to view at the Magic Millions Bundall Sales Complex, and a catalogue is available prior to the carnival to give prospective buyers the opportunity to make informed choices before the bustle and scramble for good horses at the sale.
On Easter Monday, 24 March 2008, there is a full racing schedule awaiting spectators. Races such as the $1.5 MILLION Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions 2 Year Old Classic, the $1 million 3 Year Old Trophy, $500 000 BMW Magic Millions Cup, $250 000 RM Williams Magic Millions Open Sprint, $250 000 Marriott Magic Millions Stayers Cup and others will keep spectators entertained throughout the race day.
And, as it is a carnival, there will also be many attractions and festivities in between racing and the yearling sales. One of the popular attractions at the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival 2008 is the Magic Millions Millinery Collection, where more than one hundred hats will be on display for sale at the Sheraton Mirage Hotel and Resort Luncheon. Other events include the Magic Millions Hats and High Tea fashion parade, the Magic Millions Beach Fireworks, crafts and entertainment at Surfers Paradise Beach, and the Gold Coast Star Ball. The carnival is sure to have a little something for everyone, to keep attendees entertained and happy at all times. It is most definitely an unforgettable calendar event.
