Rosecroft Raceway, located in Fort Washington of Maryland, is the state's top harness racing establishment and a main attraction in the quaint town of Ft. Washington. Opened in 1949, Rosecroft Raceway has hosted a large number of prestigious racing events providing seasons of excitement to impressive crowds of harness racing aficionados.

Rosecroft Raceway's live racing season runs from February to December with a calendar full of thrilling harness racing. The Rosecroft racetrack has a homestretch of 520 feet with a width of 90 feet. There is space for nine starters behind the gate. There is no hubrail. The main race run at Rosecroft Raceway is the Maryland Sire Stakes. Another well-known race is the Wayne Smullin Memorial Pace. Just picture it. You have placed your bet on your favorite horse or horses. You eagerly await the start of the race. They're off and the thrill of the race begins. Within no time at all your winning horse is crossing the finish line. Victory!

Rosecroft Raceway has lovely facilities contributing to the enjoyment and convenience of eager racegoers. The grandstand and clubhouse together have sufficient seating for 8 500 harness racing enthusiasts. Parking is available for 5 850 vehicles. Meals can be enjoyed at the Terrace Dining Room and Willy K's at Rosecroft. Rosecroft's Dining Room and Lounge offers racegoers an exceptional view o the racetrack and an excellent view of the finishing line. Each table has a television providing racegoers with an up-close view of the thrilling live racing action. On the other channels there are simulcasts of racing events from around the country. Simulcast racing and wagering is available all week. Rosecroft Raceway also has a fantastic Rewards Club. This club enables patrons to earn prizes and betting vouchers by simply wagering on live or simulcast racing events. In 1990 Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland gained its largest handle of $1 195 681. The biggest attendance was 13 158 back in 1965.
